Case Study : Fillmore Wine & Food Festival

The neighborhood made famous for its Victorian mansions and award-winning restaurants welcomed the world for three spectacular days of wine, food, fashion, entertainment, and fundraising. The inaugural three-day Fillmore Wine & Food festival took place in some of Pacific Height’s top spots. With lunch, cocktail and dinner events-there was something for everyone.

<strong>Special</strong> Events

In support of the Fillmore Merchants Association’s mission is to promote Fillmore Street and maintain the style and essence that is purely Pacific Heights, Strongpoint’s® events team developed a three-day culinary tour of Fillmore Street. From a stylish sampling of Pacific Heights’ illustrious eateries to a sensory-laden “journey” through India, San Francisco’s new wine and food festival whet attendee’s appetites for fun at lunchtime, cocktail hour and dinner.

For each event they produce, the Fillmore Merchants Association raises money for local non-profits like Pets Unlimited, Women’s Community Clinic and Ronald McDonald House. Funds raised by the Fillmore Wine & Food Festival went to supporting the hard work of the neighborhood Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home for 137 families with children in critical care at one of the local hospitals.

Strongpoint® managed every aspect of the 2014 Festival, including:
• Recruiting chefs from Fillmore Street to donate their time and talents
• Securing winemakers to not only attend, but to donate bottles of wine
• Identifying and liaising with beneficiary
• Securing venues
• Developing marketing partnerships
• Securing corporate sponsors
• Designing and producing all collateral
• Managing menus, pairings and controlling costs

In its first year, the festival successfully highlighted Fillmore Street’s restaurants and boutique shops. The Strongpoint® team is working on plans for the 2015 festival.
